Can I use my health insurance for iVisitDoc services?

What happens if my provider can’t diagnose or treat my issue through telehealth?
If your condition requires in-person care, lab work, imaging, or specialist referral, your provider will guide you on the next steps and recommend a local clinic or urgent care center.
Can I communicate with my provider after the visit?
Yes. After your virtual visit, you may be able to message your provider for follow-up questions or clarifications based on your treatment plan.
What if I need a medication refill?
Your provider will assess your eligibility for a prescription or refill based on your symptoms and health history. If appropriate, the medication will be sent to a pharmacy of your choice.

About Urgent Care
What’s the prescription renewal policy for urgent care through iVisitDoc?
To renew a prescription virtually, you’ll need to provide relevant health history or prior prescriptions, and in some cases, recent lab results. If appropriate, your provider may renew your medication after evaluating your current condition.
What’s the difference between a renewal and a refill?
A refill is when you continue using an active prescription with remaining refills. A renewal is needed when your prescription has expired or has no refills left—your provider reviews your health history before issuing a new prescription.
What symptoms can’t be treated virtually?
Telehealth visits don’t cover emergencies such as severe abdominal pain, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or symptoms requiring physical exams, imaging (like X-rays), or lab testing. In such cases, you’ll be directed to in-person care.
What types of medications won’t be prescribed?
iVisitDoc providers do not prescribe controlled substances (e.g., Xanax, Adderall), antipsychotics, steroids, GLP-1 weight loss drugs, or medications for unmanaged mental health or alcohol use disorder through telehealth.
Can I get mental health treatment through iVisitDoc?
Yes, iVisitDoc providers may evaluate and renew treatment for mild to moderate depression and anxiety, depending on your history and symptoms. New prescriptions for complex mental health conditions require in-person care or specialist referral.
